Dr. Barsom has been a practicing dentist for 17 years, and works out of our Gentle Dental - Middle Island, Dental365 - Bethpage and Dental365 - Medford locations.
Tell us about yourself
I was born and raised in Egypt, and started my dental career there. I then moved to the US and continued my dental studies in Colorado. After living in Colorado, I moved to New York to practice upon completing a year of residency at NY Presbyterian Queens. I was blessed with obtaining a great education and was awarded honor in both the school and the residency program
What do you enjoy most about being a dentist?
What I enjoy most about being a dentist is the opportunity to help others, create beautiful smiles, and relieve people from discomfort. It's incredibly rewarding to see the positive impact on my patients' lives and their newfound confidence.
What do you like to do
outside of work?
Outside of work, my favorite activities include traveling with my family and going to the gym. These experiences allow me to explore new places, create lasting memories with my loved ones, and stay active and healthy.
What motivated you to become a dentist?
My motivation to become a dentist stemmed from watching my dad's joy and success in his dental practice. His dedication and passion for dentistry were truly inspiring. Additionally, I have always been drawn to careers that require hand skills and quick thinking, making dentistry the perfect fit for me.
What is a fun fact
about yourself?
Believe it or not, but I am afraid of dolls - especially the ceramic ones! Also I enjoy pranking my lovely staff 😉
